Joints of the elbow:

Other structures of the elbow:

  • Olecranon Bursa

  • Interosseous Membrane

Muscles of the elbow:

  • Biceps brachii

  • Brachialis

  • Brachioradialis

  • Flexor carpi radialis

  • Flexor carpi ulnaris

  • Palmaris longus

  • Pronator teres

  • Extensor carpi radialis longus

  • Extensor carpi radialis brevis

  • Tricpes brachii

  • Anconeus

There are three bundles to the UCL:

  • Anterior bundle

  • Posterior bundle

  • Transverse ligament

 

For a complete tear, all of these parts must be torn. It is the belief of the athletic trainer and the specialist that our athlete tore one or two of the ligaments, but not all three.
