Ten Objective of Rehabilitation

 

1. Structural Integrity: Making sure the area is stable and not at risk for further injury.
2. Pain-free joints and muscles: Eliminating pain makes the patient able to perform range of motion exercise.
3. Flexibility: The ability to move a joint or series of joints through a full, non-restricted pain free range of motion.
4. Muscular Strength: The ability of the muscle to respond to demands placed upon them.
5. Muscular Endurance: The ability of the muscle to respond to perform work for longer periods of time.
6. Muscular Speed: The rate of which the muscle can perform demands placed upon them.
7. Muscular Power: The combination of muscular speed and strength.
8. Integrated and coordinated movements: The ability of the patient to be able to perform activity related movements/functions.
9. Agility: The ability to move quickly and swiftly almost unconsciously.
10. Cardiovascular: The ability to maintain an effort of performing a task for a duration of time.
